Four Reasons to Spend More on Your Website Development
Here’s four reasons to consider spending more on your website development:
It will cost you more in the long run
Many of our clients already had a website before coming to us. They had initially gone with a cheap web outfit or their cousin who knows “web stuff”. However, after a few months of frustration and disappointment, they realized that they needed to hire us for a total redesign. Sometimes, a little more money up front saves you big time in the end.
Think of a website as a house – an investment in a well-constructed house with a firm foundation will save you thousands in repairs down the road.
Cheap websites scare customers away
Most cheap sites are built with a weak structure which the “designer” learned from a “You Do It Book”. The “designer” wasn’t paid much, so he ends up cutting a few corners. The result? Your website ends up looking unprofessional. And what does this mean? It means your website visitors will search for another company offering a better online experience.
What do YOU do when you encounter a website that is hard to navigate and looks cheap…right? Right.
First Impressions
In the online world, it’s not just about making a “good” first impression… it’s about making a “clear” first impression. A well-constructed website designed around your specific needs will reflect your brand clearly and effectively. A professional web developer will take the time to design a site that:
- Speaks to your target audience and makes it easy for customers to find information
- Connects site visitors to you by designing custom features that highlight your services or products
- Grabs user attention right away with a high impact homepage and website features
Websites Aren’t Commodities
If I want to buy an ounce of gold, I have an up-to-date index that tells me what that ounce should cost no matter who I buy it from, yes? Well, that’s not a website. Websites are customized and should have customized prices. Most clients don’t understand everything involved in building a site, so they primarily shop on price. Here are a few factors that should be taken into consideration:
- What will my website look like on different computers, browsers, and mobile devices?
- Can my staff or I make updates easily, or is it going to cost an arm and a leg for every update?
- When I need help, can I get hold of a live, knowledgeable person who lives in my time zone?
- What hosting platform does this company have? What happens to my website if the web host crashes?
- Am I working with a company that provides solutions, not just products?
- How long has this web company been in business? Will they be around next year?
Keeping these points in mind will definitely pay off for your company in the long run.
Bottom Line
Spending more on a website gives you what really matters online: flexibility, uniqueness, and clear branding. Websites are often the first point of contact you’ll have with someone in your target audience. Don’t make it their last.

quite often surfing the online world many of the some time to thus opt to read substantially, which is not typically a beneficial matter as a few of the online world resources I find consist of useless garbage copied from a great many other websites. however I gotta say this website was in actual fact half decent and in many cases includes some authentic content, therefore thank you for splitting the pattern of just copying other peoples’ sites.]]>
